This October, something happened that I still have a hard time putting into words. My dad, Kevin Braun, joined me as my Executive Assistant and loan partner. He works in the same office as me, at the desk right next to mine. I get to see him every single day. I feel incredibly blessed.
Way overqualified, and here anyway
Let me be honest. My dad is way overqualified for this job. He is an LSU alum and a retired Raytheon engineer. Earlier in his career, he was part of the team at Microsoft that designed Outlook and Excel. Think about that for a second. Millions of people open those tools every day, and now he is helping me take care of families buying homes.
He did not have to do this. He chose to, and I am grateful for it every single day.
Working with family is in my blood. I am a Tucson native who grew up in South Tucson, and my wife and I have owned J Braun Salon Spa in Marana for 15 years. So having my dad right next to me at work just feels like home.
What it means for you

Where we work
We work out of the new Williams Centre Collective at 5210 E Williams Circle, Suite 500, in Tucson. My branch manager and partner, Roy Burr III, is building it out, and it is still being finished. It is a Class A building in the heart of Tucson with covered parking. The plans include a 40-person training room, a 15-person board room, a soundproof podcast room, and a mural that represents Tucson.
